Tim White knows God’s watchful care for him

Tim White was born in Cleveland, Ohio but at a young age moved to Pittburgh, Pennsylvania , where he grew up. He was the fifth of six children – three boys and three girls. Tim’s mother saw that the children attended church and was an example to them of her own faith. They went to Hampton United Presbyterian Church where Tim was confirmed and accepted Jesus as his Savior.

Late in high school, Tim stopped attending church, but still felt an abiding faith. He studied mechanical engineering at West Virginia University. On his twenty-first birthday, he was in a serious car accident, and was hospitalized for two weeks with serious internal injuries and other complications. It was then that Tim realized that God had been watching over him during that difficult time and he recommitted himself to Jesus Christ. This was a pivotal turning point in his life.

Within a year of the accident, Tim met and married Karin Windisch, who had the same faith background as he, and they moved to Michigan. He got his first job at General Motors.

Tim and Karin joined Westminster in 2002; they both knew many people here through work or school before they attended.

Tim enjoys spending time with his wife Karin and sons Andrew and Chris. He enthusiastically supports Karin in her music career. Among other audio and recording projects he has helped Karin produce vocal CDs. Tim is instrumental in running the sound system at Westminster.

The family enjoys camping, boating, water skiing, tubing and other outdoor activities.

Tim’s favorite Bible passage is Psalm 23, which brings calm and comfort to him under stress or during difficulty. He still appreciates his Mom’s deep faith and the guidance she gives the family.

Tim presently works for Hyundai- Kia America Technical Center, a job which requires frequent travel. He is currently serving on Session, and is chair of the Membership Committee.
