Book sale benefits
Westminster
library
Thanks to all who made the recent book sale such a success. Many people stopped by over the course of two Sundays and made purchases or donations. Such support of the church library is very gratifying. We netted $117 from the sale, less that last year, but we also had fewer books up for sale. The money has been turned over to the church office.
The books we didn't sell, along with some others, were taken by Don Faber and Stan Hoffman to Christian Resources International in Fowlerville, a Christian agency that distributes Bibles, Christian literature and other Christian books around the world. Our donation of 252 pounds of books was gratefully received by Fred Palmerton, board chairman of CRI.
We invite you to check out several new titles in the church library. The Secrets of Judas and Lost Gospel are highly topical material, given recent archaeological discoveries. Worlds to Explore will appeal to any armchair traveler who yearns to visit the world's forgotten places as the original explorers did.
Contributions of books are welcome and we invite your continuing interest in the library. Users find it easy to use and there are many fine titles in a variety of categories. Brighten up your summertime with some books from the library for easy or challenging reading.
